All hardwood has unique and distinctive characteristics that add to its beauty. At Zella/Hague, we hand select each piece of 100% solid hardwood for its integrity, consistency, and visual appeal. Before purchasing any solid wood product however, buyers should understand and accept that natural variations in wood are inevitable, and to be expected.

• Images shown on the website are for reference only. We aim for accuracy in color and tone, but variations may occur due to different lighting conditions and computer displays, between the studio and your home. The grain pattern and tone of your purchase will not match the website image exactly.

• Wood can shrink, expand, or develop small cracks over time due to temperature and humidity. We strive to keep this to an absolute minimum.

• Each wood piece has unique grain, texture, and tone, and may have small knots that add to its beauty. We strive to keep any knots to a minimum, but can not control specific tones or grain patterns within the wood. Variations in color and grain are not considered defects.

• Exact color, grain pattern, and finish may vary slightly between products ordered at different times.

• Hardwood furniture can naturally change color over time due to light and the wood’s natural aging. Walnut, for example, tends to lighten over time, while cherry will become darker and richer.

• Heat and water can damage wood finishes. Use coasters and avoid close contact with heat sources like fireplaces, radiators, or vents.

• Very tiny differences in stated dimensions may occur due to the natural characteristics of wood and the building process.
